Dr. Bhaskar Jyoti Das Dr. Bhaskar Jyoti Das is an Assistant Professor and a dedicated scholar of History with a profound passion for unravelling the intricacies of the past. His academic journey began with rigorous exploration and a commitment to advancing historical understanding. He has completed his Post-Graduation in History from University of Hyderabad and M.Phil from Sikkim University on ‘Neo-Vaishnavism in Sixteenth Century Assam: A Historical Study’ in 2019. He earned his Ph.D. from Sikkim University, having worked on the topic of ‘Women in Medieval Assam: A Historical Study’ that contributes to a more inclusive historical narrative. His academic pursuits reflect an unwavering dedication to historical scholarship and a commitment to shedding light on lesser- explored facets of Assamese history. He is also an awardee of Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for his Doctoral research work. He has published two (2) book chapters in edited volumes and seven (7) research papers in peer-review and UGC care listed and Web of Science Journal. He has qualified SLET in the year 2022. His area of specialization includes mediaeval society, religious studies and gender history.

• Participated at the National Seminar/Workshop on "NEP 2020 and History Curriculum in HEIs - A Pathway" which was held on 6th-7th February, 2024, at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida. The workshop was organized by Vidya Bharati Uchacha Shiksha Sansthan in collaboration with Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) and Centre for Hindu Studies of Gautam Buddha University.

• Completed 14 days online workshop on Research Methodology between 21st September to 8th October organized by Indian Council of Historical Research, Delhi.

Participated in the Capacity Building Programme for Social Science Research at OKD Research Institute for Social change and Development.

Participated in the three days National Conference and Seminar on Purusharthachatushtaya: A Historical Perspective organized by Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana and sponsored by ICHR and ICPR
