"Pragjyotishpur University was born in 2022 with a vision
to create global knowledge leaders for the holistic development of humanity. It is a student-centric and
teacher-driven University established with public support. Our commitment to upholding the National
Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) in both word and deed has garnered immense expectations from across the
nation. It is our collective responsibility to exceed these expectations, and this is achievable only
through our unified efforts. It is both an honour and a source of immense pleasure that destiny has
bestowed upon me the privilege of leading Pragjyotishpur University as its founding Vice-Chancellor. I
embrace this role with profound dedication.
Our university is not just an institution but also a family and a thriving ecosystem of knowledge,
creativity, and diversity. It is a place where dreams are nurtured, where innovation flourishes, and where
the pursuit of excellence knows no bounds. In this context, I am elated to announce that our undergraduate
programmes, initiated in this academic session (2023-24), fully align with the principles of the NEP 2020,
with a special emphasis on nurturing our cultural heritage and ‘Bhāratīyatā.’ Already, we have implemented
some of the finest practices in both research and teaching. With unwavering confidence, I predict that the
days ahead will be defined by an abundance of opportunities, formidable challenges, and remarkable
achievements. Together, as a united academic community, we will rise to the occasion, for Pragjyotishpur
University stands as a beacon of knowledge, a fountain of inspiration, and a catalyst for positive change.
