About
Currently, Pragjyotishpur University is home to two functional Libraries. One is
University Central Library and another one is School of Pharmacy Library.
Library Location
University Central Library is situated in the second floor of Amrit Bhawan and the
Pharmacy Library is situated in the first floor of School of Pharmacy Building.
Library Timing
8.50 AM to 4.30 PM (From October to February)
8.50 AM to 5.00 PM (From March to September)
Sundays and other university holidays are closed

To develop the young community into competent individuals capable of contributing to
socio economic Growth.
Mission
The Pragjyotishpur university library serves as a knowledge center for academics. The
preservation of document for future generation and dissemination of right resources to
the right user in the right time is the mission of the Library.
Library Resources
Presently, Pragjyotishpur University Library is a store house of about reading materials
including Textbooks, reference books and special collections including Biographies,
Indian knowledge System, Competitive Examinations and entrepreneurship development .

Library Rules

Library will remain open from 8.50 AM to 4.30 PM on all days except Sunday and
University Holidays

Personal belongings of users other than notebooks should kept on property counter

All users should register their name and details on attendance register after entry
in the library

Students can borrow maximum 3 books at a time, faculty members can borrow 5 books at
a time and non teaching staff can borrow 3 books at a time
-
Books are issued for 15 days
-
In no case student can keep book for 15 days from the date of issue. A fine of 2 Rs.
Per day will be charged for every delayed date

No reference books and rare books are issued
-
Silence should be maintained strictly
