Controller of Examinations (i/c)

Dr. Momi Sarma is an Assistant Professor and M.A. Assamese (Literature), UGC NET 2013, Ph.D in Assamese with nearly Thirteen years of Teaching and Research experience. Four years of project experience as a project executive at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra Society under the Cultural Affairs Department, Govt. of Assam. Junior Fellowship 2018-2020 from CCRT, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India in Folk Music. Two self-author books were published, twelve nos of research papers were published in peer-reviewed/UGC listed Journals, ten nos of ISBN book chapters, and fourteen nos of presented research papers in National/International Seminars—also Master Trainer & Performing Artist under Govt. of Assam in Bihu Dance, Bhaona etc.

Literature, Folk Culture, Ethnomusicological Study.

Awards and Fellowships

  1. Junior Fellowship of CCRT (under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Govt of India) for 2018-20 in the field of Folk/Traditional and Indigenous Arts, Sub Field: Folk Music with Project Title An Aesthetic Study of Bihu Song and Dance.
  2. Master Trainer of Kamrup Metro for the Participants of Guinness World Record of Bihu Dance on 14th April 2023 by Govt. of Assam.
